Dr. Rosalyn | The New Semester is Upon Us
So the last few weeks have been a blur. APA was another good time and all my hours were logged, I got to spend time with my people, recharge, present and eat pizza in a new location. It wasn't bad but it was nothing to write home about. The shrimp was amazing and the fish was meh. I came back from that and jumped right into a billion and one meetings as is always the case before the new term starts. On the upside at one of those many many meetings I was officially granted an award for the diversity work that I do on campus, on and off campus really, and the Chancellor in presenting it to me said that she greatly appreciated my voice and that I am making them and thus campus better because I continue to speak up.
That was a needed push because I still had to orient my graduate students, have a come to Jesus moment with a student, work on my dossier and realize I left out a lot of random little things, take mom to the doctor and get prepped for classes that start next week on top of working on things for the next year. I did sleep a LOT this weekend and I am going to try to keep that practice in play. Hope life is working out well for you as the semester kicks back into high gear.
